2nd day of REVIVAL Program Teachers and Staffs of Unklab Adventist Laboratory School
“David & Goliath”
Speaker: Pst.Felix Gosal, MAR
The story of David and Goliath is one of the most famous tales in literature and religious texts. It originates from the biblical narrative found in the book of 1 Samuel in the Old Testament.
In this story that Pst. Felix told the teachers and staff on this revival, Goliath, a giant Philistine warrior, challenges the Israelites to send out a champion to fight him in single combat.
The Israelites, fearful of Goliath’s size and strength, hesitate to accept the challenge. However, a young shepherd named David steps forward to confront the giant.
David, armed with only a sling and a few stones, faces the heavily armed Goliath.
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Firstly, teachers should demonstrate courage in the face of adversity.
Secondly, resilience is key. David’s victory didn’t come easily; he faced doubt and skepticism from others before ultimately triumphing over Goliath.
